Vulgar ads on old blog poll

Since The Flyer and I began blogging, we've been using Blogpoll (www.blogpoll.com) to put up all kinds of polls on cats.

I never paid any attention to the ads Blogpoll placed on the results page until last night. And I was horrified at what was up there.

From the most technologically advanced sex toys to topics on the big 'M' and 'O'... let's just say that I blushed from utter shame at having such vulgar trash thrown in our blog readers' faces every time they took part in our polls.

I apologise for not noticing the ads earlier.

So I've switched to Pollhost (www.pollhost.com) where the ads are few and very 'clean'. I hope you'll begin participating in our now-sanitised polls again.

Don't feel too bad. Most readers know how little control any of us have over what appears on the Internet. Look at what comes in email!

That's true, Lambj. A friend of mine once complained on his blog about e-mail spam...

"Not enough that we get told that we need a harder erection, and that our credit card bill could be magically settled, and that I've won a gazillion bucks worth of African horseshit only that I have to pay USD30,000 upfront first for taxes, I'm accused of surfing illegal websites. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry... Shame on you spambot."
