I think Bronzy and I need a new cat tree.
Look at this corner.
It is completely chewed up.
And this corner is totally frayed.
So I think you should get us a new tree.
Until then, I'll keep chomping on the corners, ok?

You're right - we totally see what you mean! Ours has a couple holes that are down to the wood, but that's because Riley loves scratching wood (the kitchen cabinets and a dresser have been seriously injured as well) and she tears off the carpet to get her claws directly on wood. She's weird.
(Our Lady is squeeing at the faces you make when nomming those corners.)
Oh, yes! Chewed/frayed corners definitely means it's time for a new tree. :-)

I wish I could get a new cat tree when that happened to ours. But ours is REALLY wearing and I do not yet see a new one!

Those aren't frayed ends - those are special "corner mice".
We hope ya can get a new one. But iffen we did that ta ours, TBT would just stick new carpet on it...
I haven't had a new cat tree in - literally - years and years! It's awful. Ours is totally torn up and destroyed. My human said I could get a new one if my second book "goes into royalties" (whatever that means), but apparently that is going to take like 10,000 books!!!

Those are great pictures! I think your cat tree looks pretty good - nice and broken in. Melly has roughed up hers very thoroughly, and she gets so upset when I try to clean it! Little nut.
You really do need a new cat tree -and definitely bigger and better.
