Look at this pee stain disaster!
And look at the culprit!
Does she care?
I think not.
This is the first time that a cat under my care has peed on the carpet.
In fact, I hadn't even realised that Bronzy had done the naughty deed.
I found out only after I had picked up a strong pee smell and tried to trace it.
It was a day later that I discovered where the smell was coming from.
But, by then, there were two puddles on my row of flip flops.
So I soaked up what I could with paper towels first.
Then I used bleach over the affected areas.
Things were looking good but the smell was still there.
So a few days later, I used Dettol to rid the same areas of the smell.
And things were still going good,
except for a couple of yellowish stains that remained.
So this morning, I decided to have another go with the bleach.
But as soon as it hit the carpet,
this monstrous glowing orange stain popped out!
I've spent the entire day googling for solutions,
but there is nothing to address this potent pee-bleach-Dettol combo.
Hmm... Maybe I should start looking at carpet dye sticks.

Bleach only gets cats to pee more! The smell of it attracks them! So no more bleach! You can buy stuff for the smell at the pet store, at least here in Holland you can.
You can try stain removel stuff what you use for your laundry.
Good Luck! Purrrs Lars and Odin
Is there a medical reason she did this, though? We'd want to make sure she's okay, no urinary tract problem. Have you switched litters? Are the boxes clean enough?
As for the stain, we don't know...The mom really likes a product she gets in the organic section of her grocery store. Can't think of the brand name but it's distilled water and hydrogen peroxide. Works really well for kitty barf and scoot marks, not sure how it would do this stain, though. Good luck.
See if you can purchase an enzyme cleaner in the pet store. They are made specifically for pee and poo stains. You might try white vinegar on the stain, too. Do have Bronzy checked for UTI.
Me thinks you will has to cut them out and put in patches! Next time, use vinegar or get some specific cat stain removers at the petstore. Me has "accidents" when me gets mad at my peoples and me pees on shoes too!

When we had carpet Mom used a combination of peroxide, baking soda and drop of dishwashing liquid. We're not sure how that would work after the bleach though. Good luck (that's why we have all tile!)

Oh no! We hope it's not a medical reason that Bronzy is doing this.
You should try getting some pet stain enzyme cleaner. It's worked well when our ctas have had "accidents."
So sorry! I hope Bronzy stay good!
Oh no! I hope Bronzy is ok... it's worrisome that she'd all of a sudden start doing this.
That is too bad about your carpet! I hope it's fixable.
Let us know if you find anything that works. We noticed you have gray carpet and we have some stains Sweet Praline left from when she was sick (vomiting). When Mom Paula talked to some stain remover people they said something about gray carpet being bad for retaining stains.
We hope Bronzy is okay.
I find the "Nature's Miracle" product works well on spitup stains. Soak the stain in it, use a lot.
I do have beige carpet, though.
Eueeww...Bronzy, are you OK? Mama says thank Cod we have tiles....just mop them away. purrr....meow!
Nothing like ammonia. Thats practically pee itself. We think citrus helps.
Has Bronzy got cystitis? It can make the cat want to pee suddenly.
The other thing could be if a strange cat has got into your home.
